Amy Becker grew up in the midwest as a Baptist pastor's kid, surrounded by "religion," but lacked real connection to God's heart and His purposes in the world. It was at CityLights, InterVarsity's St. Louis Urban Project, living with a refugee family from the Congo that she encountered God in a profound way. One that would change the trajectory of her life forever. Now, seven years later, she serves as the Campus staff for InterVarsity in Des Moines, Iowa. She loves her city and has dreamed and prayed about starting an Urban Project in Des Moines since the day she came on staff with InterVarsity!
