Camper Insurance

  • Camper insurance is no longer required for every Urban Program.
    • Camper insurance policies are determined by your region. Please contact your supervisor about camper insurance for your program.
      • The regional policy for camper insurance was likely made with camps and conferences in mind, not Urban Programs. If you feel that camper insurance would be helpful for safety on your programs, please ask your supervisor to allow you to purchase camper insurance for your program.

  • To purchase camper insurance for your students, fill out the camper insurance reporting form.
  • Should an accident or injury occur on your program for which you have camper insurance, please do the following: (The procedures for filing a claim have been designed to avoid prosecution for HIPAA violation and need to be followed precisely.)
    • Check out the Emergency Policy page on the staff website for reporting details. Make sure you have the emergency numbers on hand during your program.
    • This will direct you to complete the incident report form. Bring this with you on the program just in case.
