These immersion experiences are opportunities to explore what it means to make peace with the land. God gave people the responsibility to take care of Creation. We know the need to reconcile with God and with fellow human beings, but do we recognize the need to reconcile with the land? These experiences will go to places where people are committed to taking seriously our mandate to care for the earth. We hope to learn from homesteaders, environmental activists, indigenous people, earth peacemakers, farmers, and poets. We plan to work in gardens, forage for wild herbs, learn about permaculture, grow in community, and gain a deeper understanding of our connection to God and Creation.
