Intercession is prayer that pleads with God for ourselves and for others. In prayers of intercession, we ask God in his power and justice to make right that which is wrong.
As we enter into times of intercession, we remember that Jesus is King over all, and that he is in control of everything.
In intercession we call on him to act on the behalf of those who are being hurt. We cry out to him for those who need his help.
In intercession we also listen to him. We listen for where he wants us to pray, how he wants us to pray, who he wants us to pray for. We must let the Holy Spirit lead us as we pray.
God works through the prayers of his people. But we must be persistent. And we must listen to where he guides us.
