There is a $500 limit on gifts to partnering organizations for each program. This means that the maximum amount of money a summer program, spring break plunge or other program can give as a gift over the course of their program is $500.
This is the total gift amount - if you would like to give gifts to multiple organizations, the total amount for all organizations cannot exceed $500.
Money may be given provided that the funds are available in the urban program account and that the organization is a 501(c)3 organization.
You may also pay the organization for supplies, space, or time used by the program. This can be done with a Pcard (preferred), check request or out of advance money (for smaller amounts), as long as a receipt is given.
For example, if an organization gives you a tour of their facilities, instead of giving them a gift for their kindness in leading the tour, you can pay them for the tour, using a check request.
