Since the program is less than 4 weeks, oneaccount for the program will be set up to accept funds. Please send in checks weekly, instead of waiting until the end of the program.
Since the program is not a "registration fee only" type of program, an Urban Program account must be set up to accept donations. Conference, area, and scholarship accounts cannot be used to collect money raised by students.
Staff fundraising for scholarships:
If staff want to fundraise money for scholarships, that money can be raised into a scholarship account and then transferred into a program account (allowing the donation to be tax deductible without incurring overhead).
However, if a person's name, staff or student, is noted on the check it will be returned to the donor, since scholarship donations cannot be given for a particular individual.
