Stipends

  • Review the Policy on Urban Program Stipends and Fundraising
  • Complete a Special Project Employee Form for any student receiving a stipend. (Click on the link to make sure you have the up to date form.)
  • Complete the I-9 form, which is a part of the required employment paperwork, on or before the first day of employment. At the very latest, Section 2 of the I-9 must be completed by the third day of a person's employment with InterVarsity. There are no exceptions to this employment law. Read the Policy on Urban Programs Stipends and Fundraising for very detailed instructions on filling out the I-9.
  • Complete the other required hiring procedures. Like the I-9, there are no exceptions to completing these requirements.
  • Follow the procedure on the Policy on Urban Programs Stipends and Fundraising page to get a check(s) prepared for your student(s).
    • Note: Students who are not eligible to work in the United States (i.e. undocumented & some international students) cannot receive stipends, but can receive scholarships.
